Los Angeles, CA (August 14, 2017) – World Poker Tour® is proud to announce it will award its one-billionth prize dollar at the Season XVI WPT® Legends of Poker at The Bicycle Hotel & Casino in Bell Gardens.

Established in 2002, the World Poker Tour has awarded more than $998 million in total prize money in main events across all of its tours and crowned 247 WPT Main Tour champions, including 15 from the WPT Legends of Poker. A charter member of the World Poker Tour, The Bicycle Hotel & Casino is hosting the WPT Main Tour event for a 16th consecutive season. The Season XVI WPT Legends of Poker festival is running now through August 31, with the televised WPT Legends of Poker Main Event taking place August 25-31, 2017.

Last season, Pat Lyons topped a field of 687 entries to win the WPT Legends of Poker title and a first-place prize of $615,346. Benjamin Zamani took second place in the event and went on to become Hublot WPT Player of the Year for Season XV.
