 The mission of the Bell Gardens Police Activities League (P.A.L.) is to provide a safe and supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation program that develop and foster positive relationships between police officers and the youth of the community by organizing, supervising and/or coaching youth sports and other healthy learning activities.
The Bell Gardens P.A.L. consists of many volunteers from the Bell Gardens Police Department who are dedicated to the Bell Gardens P.A.L. Program, Youth Boxing Club and its membership. The Youth Boxing Club is one of the major activities that operates under the Bell Gardens P.A.L. Program umbrella, and is in need of funding to sustain its operations. To help sustain this program, the Bicycle Casino has partnered with PAL to assist in raising funds for the continuation of the Youth Boxing Club and its $60,000 annual budget.
The Bicycle Casino is proud to announce it's contribution to the Bell Gardens community by hosting the First Annual Cards 4 Kids Poker Classic on November 3, 2011. The Bike has a first-class No Limit Hold'em poker event scheduled, beginning with a cocktail mixer at 5:00 p.m. and a world class buffet at 5:30 p.m. The cards will be in the air at 6:30 p.m. and the Bicycle Casino guarantees a $10,000 prize pool!!!
You can help support Bell Gardens P.A.L. by participating in the event, becoming an event sponsor, donating a raffle prize/auction item, and/or as a guest of the event. The First Annual Cards 4 Kids Poker Classic has a $100+$25 Buy-In with $30 Unlimited Rebuys for the first 90 minutes and one $50 Optional Add-On at the end of the rebuy period.
All funds raised from this event will go toward PAL expenses, to include operating costs of the Youth Boxing Club such as staffing, equipment, supplies, and boxing tournament expenses for members of the youth boxing team, as well as other programs sponsored by the Bell Gardens PAL.
